English Learning Targets and Objectives

To enable students to develop an ever-improving capability to use English through listening, speaking, reading and writing language skills;
To enable students to develop language development strategies embodying generic skills;
To provide students of a second language with further opportunities for extending their knowledge and experience of the cultures of other people as well as opportunities for personal and intellectual development, further studies and pleasure in the English medium;
To strengthen literacy development and Reading across the Curriculum (RaC) through connecting students’ learning experiences and incorporating new literacy practices to enable students to process and create multimodal texts;
